Two months

February only has 28 days, so Lydia doesn't get to turn two months old. We have to settle for a day short. She'll have her two-month check-up at the pediatrician tomorrow, but I thought I'd go ahead and post these photos now, since we have them.

Lydia still mostly eats and sleeps, but she is holding her head up much better lately. Yesterday we went to brunch and shopping in the strip district, then paid a short visit to the Carnegie natural history museum, where we have a new membership. She rode in the Baby Björn facing the front for the first time. She also slept through the night for the first time a few days ago, sleeping until after 7am. That was nice. Especially in comparison to Thursday night, when she didn't get to sleep until almost 3am.

Tonight we were watching House and Lydia was sitting in her Boppy chair facing the screen. I paused it for a moment because the computer was busy and the picture was getting choppy. Lydia started crying. When I turned it back on, she stopped.

Somewhere, I heard of research showing that babies are calmed with noises they heard while in the womb (like certain music, etc.), this might be true for hearing House call someone an idiot. :)

2 month check-up stats:
head circumference = 40 cm
weight = 13 pounds 15 ounces
length = 23 1/2 inches

Last month they were:
HD = 39 cm
weight = 10 pounds 15 ounces
length = 22 3/4 cinches
