Saturday morning, Maëva's friend Capucine's mom came to pick her up at 10am to take her to a birthday party for three classmates. Margot, Agathe and Alexandre B. were having a joint party from 10:30 to 1:30 at a kids' play place called Magic City. I've never been there and wasn't able to learn much from Maëva afterwards, but she talked about a big "spider-thing" that she climbed on a lot.
Shortly after noon, the rest of us headed over to Nathalie and Guillaume's house for Jeannette's 60th birthday party. Maëva joined us about two when her first party was finished. The festivities included a makeover to "teach" Jeannette how to dress her age and a cake with sixty little candles on top which Laureva helped blow out:

Three-Party Day
At 7pm, we left the girls at the party with Sophie and Jimmy and headed to another party in Géménos, this time a surprise 40th birthday party for our friend Valérie. She thought we would be meeting her around 9pm at a local restaurant. The surprise worked. She claims to have suspected nothing and to have been completely surprised when she showed up with friends at the Géménos Rugby Club shortly after 8. The excuse was that the friends' son had left something there earlier in the day that needed to be picked up.
The girls stayed late at Jeannette's party, then went home with Sophie and Jimmy to stay the night at their house with Léon and Cookie the cat. Sophie called about 10pm to say all was well and the girls were both sound asleep.
A fun day of parties for all!

Sounds exhausting.
That may be more parties then I've been to in my whole life! -- or at least more time at parties....
