Last week I was in Oakland for work and then stayed with Meredith and Anwyl for a few days. Early in the week Oakland was having protest marches following the verdict in the Travon Martin case.
Here's a photo of one march from my hotel window. Looks tame, but they had some trouble later in the night.
On Friday I made a road trip east to Mt Diablo. Here's a park just outside Moraga, which is just to the east of M's beyond the hills.

Ugghhh ... Martin/Zimmerman ... how predictable and pathetic. I'm not going to say anything else right now, for fear that the media will catch hold of it and call me a racist.
It's much easier to yell "racist" than to analyze the root problems of this tragedy.
