Andrew Speak

Last night, we went to Sam's after picking up the boys from school. The boys had pizza. They were both being good, so they were allowed to get cookies (one each) from the bakery.

When we drive in the car, Andrew likes to pretend I'm a cat ... a cat that likes to eat airplanes and things like that. Yesterday, on the way home, Andrew asked me (the cat) if I was hungry. I said "No ... I'm full, but you need to eat that yellow moving truck."

Andrew quickly scarfed it, and then he said "Whenever you see yellow moving trucks on the way home, you need to tell your kitty to each them!" Ok, Andrew ... we didn't see another one.

Then, when we were nearing home, Andrew was saying he was hungry. I told him he could have fruit snacks at home, but that he shouldn't be that hungry. He said something like "I'm full up to here (motioning close to the top of his head), because I ate pizza, a cookie, and a yellow moving truck!" Yes, you are, Andrew.

In an unrelated episode, the boys were being crazy (imagine that), and Jenn said "You need to be careful so you don't fall and hurt yourself." Andrew replied "Yeah, like Mike."

Thanks to Mike, for setting a good example. Now when we tell them to slow down before they get hurt, they know that they really can get hurt and they pay more attention. Mike, I hope you are feeling better and healing quickly.
