Countdown: 13 days

I played basketball again this morning: my next to last Tuesday.

The Vietnam Veterans came to pick up Nicole's recliner: it had served as a scratching post and we didn't want to move it, but struck out on Craigslist, too.

We had heavy rain today, and the garage door opener stopped working.  Hopefully, that can be resolved quickly and at small expense.  The timing is unfortunate.

Tonight, Nicole is attending her final book group meeting. She's been reading and socializing with this group of women for more than four years.  This month's selection was Herman Koch's The Dinner.
