Sunday afternoon we were at a farm/restaurant in Méounes (about an hour away out in the middle of nowhere) to celebrate a friend's birthday. Towards six o'clock, when we were packing up, getting ready to go, we looked around and no Maëva. We looked around the restaurant, in the bathroom, outside on the patio. Still no Maëva. We enlisted the help of others and she was quickly spotted about fifty yards down the drive walking towards the car. She had had enough and wanted to go. This is the first time she has ever done such a thing. Although she got a severe talking to, I realize it probably won't be the last. This morning, she randomly brought up the subject: "You were very worried about Papa, I went to the car." It took me a few seconds, but I eventually figured out she was talking about Sunday afternoon's minor trauma.
