Yesterday the technicians finished installing the dual cycle heat pump system that will heat and cool the house. It will use a lot less energy for heating than the 50 year old baseboard electric heaters that we can now remove.
Getting rid of the baseboard heaters will improve the usability of the smallish bedrooms as well.
While the electrician was here we had the EV charger installed in the garage which will charge the car much faster than using a standard 110 V outlet, which is what we'd been doing since we moved.
The flooring project is on hold until next month because the local mill that will supply the Douglas fir flooring is a bit backed up, but that gives me some time to get the heaters removed and paint the closets.

Great timing all around! Exciting to hear about the heat pump. Anwyl has been slowly investigating one for our house -- not sure if it will happen or not.
