Colin was trying to put a small ball into the toy shopping cart this morning. It kept falling right through. He kept picking it up and trying again.

Colin was trying to put a small ball into the toy shopping cart this morning. It kept falling right through. He kept picking it up and trying again.

Maybe instead of wanting it to stay in the cart, he was simply having fun watching it pass through . . . Sometimes we erroneously interpret based on assumptions about our own behavior.
Could be. But later on he dropped a larger ball into the cart and seemed very happy that it stayed.
