Laureva: 2 weeks

Laureva is two weeks old today. Everything is going well, although she has had an increasing number of colicky crying fits this week, including some in the wee hours of the morning. Saturday night, I only got 2.5 hours of sleep, according to my Up band. She is starting to dislike baths a little less. She doesn't always scream completely through them now. Saturday morning, we three girls went out for a walk to the village. Maëva pushed her sister's stroller. She also likes to help out by pushing her in her swing and patting her on the back to burp her. The big sister role has taken on even more excitement due to the fact that most of the friends and family that come to the house to meet Laureva bring a little something special for Maëva as well. It definitely pays to be the older kid! When Maëva got home today, she wanted to hold her sister for a few minutes before lunch:

I have been having odd time warp moments of late. Laureva looks a lot like Maëva at the same age. Plus, she's mostly being dressed in Maëva's old clothes. So when I look down at Laureva, it feels as though I'm holding baby Maëva again. But then I look over and see that big Maëva is also there. Uncanny. Nicole and Roy sent me a box of the photos from Grandma's house after scanning them. They arrived Thursday. It seemed both appropriate and uncanny to get a box full of quite a few photos of Grandma Reva just a few days after Laureva's birth.
