Saturday, July 9. 6 am trip with Dad to Chandler Walmart for ibuprofen for Sylvain. We saw 5 deer, 1 fawn, quail, roadrunner. Back to ranch to prepare breakfast. Then Evan drove me back to Walmart to fill Sylvain's prescription. Pharmacy opened at 9. Back again just in time for the girls' 11 o'clock corral rides. They both loved it. Laureva's first time on a horse. Rebecca and family arrived. Lunch. Afternoon trying to figure things out with insurance company. Will Sylvain get surgery in OK or back in France? Conflicting information from different agents and doctors throughout the day. Got some information about orthopaedic surgeons with help from everyone, but not able to contact any on the weekend. More pool time. Kids made friendship bracelets and headbands with Stephanie. Sylvain got a blue, white and red one in honor of France's next day soccer final. 5pm started preparing taco and fajita dinner with Evan. Alaskan Amber. I chopped chicken, peppers, onion and tomato for an hour while Evan cooked. Lots of hard chopping with a dull knife, but worth it as food turned out well and was appreciated. Per Elma Claire's request, we sang "What did Delaware?" as a question/response between two groups. She said they used to do this at the cafeteria in college, so Grandma and Grandpa must have done it, too. After dinner volleyball for Maëva and some others. Maëva had another sleepover in the North House with Rachel and Lydia. Thanks Nicole! Stayed up late chatting with Roy, Nicole, Evan, Jenn, Stephanie and Hannah as last night with Evan and Jenn. Finished off Alaskan. Evan made smores over gas burners in lodge. Thanks, Evan!
