DC OK Adventure: Day 15

Roy arrived early to take the girls to their hotel while Mom went to work and Mike took Sylvain and I to the airport. We left the house shortly after 6:30. Dropped Sylvain off at Delta check in about 7:15. As he was traveling business class, he could check two bags. I sent him with two, one of which was half chocolate chips and other baking supplies! The flip side to this fracture and repatriation situation. Someone came to wisk him away in a wheelchair. Back home to change cars and have a cup of coffee before meeting Roy and Co. and the girls for breakfast at IHOP. I had a garden omelet and pancakes and was stuffed for the rest of the day. Yummy, though. Stopped by Mom's work to say hello then played in nearby park for about 30 minutes. Very hot out. Back home for awhile to cool off. About 2:30, headed out to the Museum of Osteology. Fascinating place with all kinds of skeletons on display. Maëva particularly liked the flamingo. We also learned about how they clean the skeletons and about the bone shape difference in breast plates between flying and non flying birds. Maëva, Lydia and Colin did skeleton match worksheets. Rachel did a question scavenger hunt for older kids. Early dinner at Zaxby's. I enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich from the kids' meal. Dessert at DQ next door. I had a mini Reese's blizzard. Back home for bubbles in the yard, pink bath and bed. The cousins are all having great fun together. Sylvain should arrive home in Marseille tonight at 1:45 am central.

Sounds like fun. Lucas and Andrew enjoyed the cousin time, and they were asking when they'd get to see them again.

My girls, too. Laureva particularly has asked repeatedly about seeing Andrew and Lucas.
