Tuesday, August 6. Got up at 7:30 to say goodbye to Mike before he left for work. Once all packed up, girls all did face masks with Serra. As we were practically on our way out the door, Maëva dropped her homemade slime on her new favorite pink and black dress from Sam. Couldn't get it out in just two minutes, so she had to change. I put her dress in my handy wet/dry bag to deal with upon arrival in OK. Depart from Cherry Street about 10am. Our load has increased by a couple bags of hand-me-downs and two Descendants DVDs from Sam. Quick stop for gas, then off to I435W and I35S to Grandma's house!
1pm cheese pizza lunch at Gambino's in Andover KS. Arrival at 2925 Wemouth Way shortly after 4:30 pm. Called Mom to get door code. Met and petted the dogs. Mom got home around 5. Pinkalicious cartoons. What a discovery! Slip 'n Slide in the front yard. Painting kits from Sam in KC. More Pinkalicious shows. I used the tips Serra found online to get the slime out of Maëva's dress: brush with vinegar, rinse, use dish soap for any remaining remnants. The vinegar dissolved the slime very quickly. Miraculous! Pizza dinner: pepperoni and spinach/mushroom/garlic. Storytime with Grandma: Doc McStuffins As Big as a Whale. Early to bed for super tired girls at 8:30.
