USA Tour: Day 25

Sunday, August 18. 7am run for Evan and Sylvain. Lucas helped me make pancakes. 9:20 departure for the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper.

Highlights: Tanya - seeing Sylvain get to feed a piece of sardine to a sea anemone, the Shark Tunnel with sharks and other critters passing overhead, and another animal discovery for me, the Prehensile-Tailed Porcupine; Maëva & Julie - Gentoo Penguins swimming, molting in the corner, eating fish; Lucas - otters, penguins, jellyfish; Sylvain - the river otter that got out and pooped right in front of us after swimming around for awhile, Evan - Amazon River giants. Another cool thing was the window box in the otter exhibit which got us face to face with two napping otters.
12:45 lunch at The Pie (pi math symbol) Pizzeria. 23" cheese + 16" mega meat. Yummy!! But lots of leftovers - richer and thicker than other pizzas - maybe even enough for two meals. Quite economical!!
2:30 rest time. Evan, Lucas and I went on some errands: Best Buy for my new HP work laptop and the grocery store for ingredients for an afternoon sugar cookie decorating project.
3:30 more Kids Baking Championship.
5pm Family Zoom with Dad, Meredith and Kristen about 2020 reunion. Meanwhile, Sylvain napped and Julie helped the kids decorate cookies.
Badminton outside in the backyard. Leftover pizza dinner with French wine, IPA beers and sugar cookies from the kids.
Storytime: Fifi and Rufus plan to break Suzanne out of jail so she can help set a trap for Lizonne. Duh duh duh!!!
