Tuesday I completed the 365th day of my streak on Duolingo. I would call it a year if not for that February 29th thing. This is not the longest streak I've had, but the app doesn't seem to keep track of past ones, so I don't know if I'll know when it becomes so, assuming I keep it up.
My transition back to work was mostly uneventful. While I was out, some of my co-workers formed a labor union. I will probably join, but haven't yet.
Rachel came to my office in the afternoon to tell me about her embarrassment. She had written to several of her favorite writers asking a few questions in hopes of adding their answers to her website. One of them had written back almost immediately, but only to say that she seemed to have the wrong person. Rachel had copied most of the message and forgotten to personalize the favorite book in that one.
After work I played Magformers with the boys while the girls watched their show with Nicole. Then, after dinner, we finished season two of The Mandalorian. Now Lydia's having trouble getting to sleep and Nicole's hard at work on the jigsaw puzzle, but the others have gone off to sleep. The boys have nine balloons suspended from their ceiling by static electricity courtesy of my hair.
The vaccination tracker I found says almost five million doses have been administered in the U.S. so far. And the Vox new year predictions included 100 million vaccinations by the end of April. I had predicted under a million vaccinations by now back at day 251. Although many of these probably haven't received the second dose yet, I'm still going to consider them vaccinated for the purposes of my prediction. I'll have to double-check the others, but I think they have all come true. I don't have 400 day predictions, yet.

It would not have occurred to me to write my favorite authors. Kudos to Rachel for crafting a message and hitting send on the emails! Fortunately, perfection is not yet a requirement for a life well lived.
