Wednesday morning I awoke to dim gray skies. In spite of the rapidly lengthening days, the sun hasn't been a big help in the morning. It was really windy last night, but there was no evident damage in our yard. I'd heard what sounded like a bucket or a water bottle bouncing around outside, in the alley maybe, but didn't see anything this morning.
I spent the whole day inside. At times it was raining heavily. I had a meeting immediately after lunch, which prevented the usual excursion, and dinner immediately followed work. I read during Nicole's meeting about the upcoming virtual multicultural night, and then we played a few hands of Hogwarts Battle before reading time.
Tonight's reading included more revelations, a fortune teller, and the capture of Simon by parties unknown. We have our suspicions about how the puzzle will play out. Dr. Field remains a mystery.
After further reading, I went downstairs to look for stories and mix some dough. Eric had a nap in the afternoon, so I was not surprised when he came to join me. He likes to help with the stirring. Now he's back in bed, but I'm not sure he's drifted off yet.
