Sequestered in Seattle, Day 382

Sunday was an indoor day. The forecast was for rain, and while we talked about making an excursion anyway, we didn't make any firm plans, and that proved fatal for the possibility. Colin spent some time outside in the afternoon when the rain abated, but he was the only one.

I made crepes for breakfast, and then again for lunch. I had increased the batter somewhat relative to normal, so it went a little further. We ate them with Nutella, applesauce, and blueberries.

I spent some of the early afternoon troubleshooting Rachel's Kobo ebook reader. In the end, it seems it had corrected itself since she last looked, because nearly all her library books were on the device. It seems to sync very slowly, which isn't at all how I'd expect it to behave.

In mid-afternoon, we had a date to play games with the Horners in Ohio. We introduced them to Tokaido, and they enjoyed it. The first game was a bit chaotic with their two younger children demanding attention, but they persevered, and things were much calmer for the second game. We chatted for a while after and planned to do it again in a couple weeks.

Meanwhile, Nicole's cousin found us online and invited us to a couple games of Kingdom Builder. By the time that was all done, it was time for dinner. Nicole made tacos.

After dinner the boys had a bath, and then family reading time was long enough to read the last four chapters of our book. It ended satisfactorily, except for failing to turn up Dido, who had disappeared a couple chapters before. Sadly, the next book in the chronicles, Nightbirds on Nantucket, seems to be out of print again. I'm not sure yet what we'll do about that.

The elementary school doesn't have synchronous remote learning tomorrow through Wednesday, due to teacher preparations for return to school, so the kids can sleep in a bit. We'll see if that actually happens.
