Good Dirt

Anna came over for lunch on Sunday. We went down to see the chickens. Pam had gone with them yesterday to the Portland Zoo. On the drive there, Anna was a little cranky. They asked her what kind of animal she wanted to see at the zoo, and she said..... Chickens. Oops. So Sunday she got to see chickens. Elephants and giraffes are so overrated.

Then she discovered the dry dirt in the area where I had done the charcoal project. First she moved handfuls of dirt from one pile to another. Then she painted her face with dirt. Then she sat down in the dirt and covered her legs with it. Perfect way to break in brand-new overalls being worn for the first time.
