Maëva loves grapes. She'll scarf them down (any color, seeds and all) until she gets a tummy ache. Unfortunately, it's no longer grape season. It is pomegranate season, however. Sylvain is a big pomegranate fan. A week or so ago, he asked Maëva if she would like to try a piece. She eventually accepted and when she declared that she liked it, Sylvain's response was "Oh, darn." On that occasion, however, she didn't want any more. Today was a different story. Sylvain was eating a pomegranate after lunch, and Maëva joined in the fun. To get her to chew, we told her it was like eating grapes and that she needed to bite on the fruit and seed before swallowing. She got confused and apparently thought the pomegranate was also "grapes." "I like, I love grapes," she kept repeating as she helped herself to pieces of fruit:
