At Christmas, we put the boys train away and use the board under the tree and for the Christmas Train. However, the Christmas train track is a little too wide for the board, so we have 1x4s that go along the sides to support it. The 1x4s are not quite as thick as the carpet covered plywood, so we have to add some supports. So we are trying to think what to add, we are trying books, etc. and Andrew says "why don't we use the bristle blocks like we used last year?" Gosh, Andrew, why can you remember something from a year ago when you were 3 and we can't remember it at all??? He can also couple the Christmas train and get it correctly set on the train track in the blink of an eye!! It is not so hard to couple, but I have to lay on the ground to completely see what is going on to get it set on the track exactly right. He's pretty darned handy to have around!
