Yule Log: Dec 26

Slept in today! Got up at 6 with S to set up new Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Turns out iPhone miracle only lasted for 24th, so we want to use the new phone to send photos of the festivities to family in France. Later learned M slept from 9pm to 7am at Mom's! 8:15 breakfast at Norman IHOP with Jenn, Meredith, Anwyl, Mom and M (photo of M on Google+). I chose classic buttermilk pancakes as the support for my maple syrup. Morning visit to Grandpa Gene at Rivermont. We participated in the morning activities of hymn and carol singing followed by a light exercise routine set to music (see Google+ video). Lunch with Evan at Firehouse Subs. Fancy Coke product dispenser with a zillion flavors, intriguing to S. For his final taste, he chose grape Hi-C and deemed it disgustingly undrinkable. M enjoyed her first ever Rice Krispie treat. Return home for afternoon rest. Left at 3pm with Ev to stop by Best Buy to look for a cover for new phone on way to airport to pick up Dad. Didn't get one, but now know available options. Back home about 4:30. Got everyone organized to head out for pizza. We drove down to New York pizza on Campus Corner with Mom and placed the order. S went to take photos of the football stadium. Eventually, everyone else trickled in. Dad and Ev had been to daycare to get the boys. Meredith and Anwyl had stopped by Rivermont to get Grandpa. Jenn stayed home resting with a yucky stomach bug. Good pizza, crazy kids running around. S got to have a Bloody Mary. Back home after dinner for play time while Mom went to the airport to meet the Pittsburghers arriving from Idaho. Short visiting session with Pittsburghers after their arrival. Late night cheesecake with Ev after everyone else in bed: white chocolate raspberry and marble. M woke up at midnight all stuffy and burning up. Gave a dose of ibuprofen and moved her to our bed. S moved to her bed on floor as couldn't sleep with snoring toddler right next to him. Andrew also under the weather with a nasty cough disturbing his sleep. Night night on another festivity-filled day!
