The festival officially kicked off Friday evening, but we didn't do much festivaling for the first two days because Maëva had strep. Luckily she was feeling a little better by yesterday morning, so our parade plans weren't ruined. David was one of the festival captains this year so the girls got to be honorary captains and ride in the official carriage at the front of the parade, just behind the pipes and drums and the committee presidents:
Later in the afternoon, Maëva managed to convince Sylvain to accompany her and her friend Mina on the big kid fair ride:
Maëva claims to have had fun, though it didn't always appear that way from my perspective! She asked to go again, but Sylvain refused.
