The girls' Wednesday morning trip to the beach with Caroline, Vincent and Gabrielle got called off because Tuesday evening, a tick was discovered on Gabrielle (most likely acquired Sunday and unknowingly brought with them from Limoges) and they had to take her to the emergency room to get it removed. Instead, they all headed to Aubagne for ice cream yesterday afternoon:
They tried out the new gelatto place downtown. Reportedly very good. Our girls had chocolate. Laureva apparently had it all over her face. Gabrielle had bubble gum.
This morning, the five of them went to the beach in La Ciotat. Maëva drew a picture in the sand:
Luckily, by the time Laureva walked through it on purpose, messing it up, Tonton Vincent had already snapped a picture. As Vincent tells it, Laureva claimed the only way for her to go was straight across Maëva's drawing. When he challenged her on that and told her to apologize to her sister, she eventually did, but it took quite awhile. Other than that, she was apparently pretty well behaved.
