Corsica August 8

Talking with Philippe last night, we found out that the place the boys ate Saturday night is near a pretty beach that we have seen from the road, but didn't know how to access. We decided to go this morning to the beach at Marine de Nonza. When we arrived about 9h30, there was only one other person on the beach. It was idyllic for awhile. By the time we left 2 hours later, it was full. Marie-Elisabeth helped the girls write their names on the beach in rocks. Sylvain and I agreed it was our favorite beach experience of the week. After nap, we went down to Albo for one last swim. Jimmy and Léon joined us and the girls had fun climbing on their shoulders and jumping off. Back on the beach, Laureva got stung by a wasp in her groin area while playing in the sand to make a banana cake. Luckily, we had Jimmy's sting stick on hand. We finished off the afternoon with a last ice cream bar at the beach snack hut. Maëva said she wanted to stay in Corsica for five weeks. Probably because she likes getting ice cream at the beach every day! On the way home, we stopped to say goodbye to Eliane and Jean. We also saw Raymond and Philippe. Then the girls helped the boys pick up pizza to go. Maëva wanted to take more cat pictures. While they were gone, the big girls worked on packing and cleaning. Our final Corsica dinner was Olcani pizza (veggie again for me) and José Salge Nutella and milk chocolate ice cream (a Corsican brand that seems to be everywhere). Depart tomorrow 5h45 to catch ferry home.

Wasp stings to the groin are an ingredient in banana cakes? I must be confused about what a banana cake is.
