Something unusual happened this morning. Laureva slept in until 8:30am! Plus, although Maëva got up at the normal time (just after 7), she did so quietly and went upstairs by herself and very quietly started working on a puzzle. Definitely a morning to remember for posterity.
Today is a holiday in France. Late morning, the four of us headed down to Roquevaire for the St Eloi Cavalcade. Laureva especially seemed to enjoy seeing all of the donkeys and horses. Afterwards, while we were having a drink, Maëva decided she'd like to send a text message to her godmother. She sometimes needs help figuring out how to spell words when she writes, but she can pretty much read almost anything in French now. Caroline responded right away with a rather long 4-5 line message. Maëva was able to read all of it without any help.
The girls went down for naps shortly before 2pm. Laureva awoke two hours later, but Maëva kept sleeping. I had to wake her up at 5! Too bad my sleepyheads aren't synced.

The girls are growing up! Hope this is just the start of a trend towards more sleep all around.
