Fête with Dad: Day 3

Le dimanche 27 août. Dad adjusted quickly. Up before the girls and I today. Breakfast of leftover pancakes and homemade jams. 10am down to the parade with girls dressed as Moana.

After parade, on the way back up into the village, Maëva convinced Guillaume to take her to the duck fishing (she chose some pink butterfly wings). Laureva did it, too (she chose bubbles). Then we went to the cours to play with Gabrielle and wait for the fifes and drums to be done with mass. About 1:30pm, the girls were getting antsy, so Dad, Guillaume and I brought the three of them home for a swim (Guillaume did the launching, Dad did the bodyboard surfing) and then lunch. Marie-Elisabeth, Mireille, Jackye, Caroline and Marie-Paule all arrived about 2:15. Then the girls watched cartoons while the adults sat down to lunch. Post-lunch swim around 5pm. About 6, Dad and I walked Guillaume down the hill to his car. Then we met up with the girls at the fair. They had gone into the village earlier with Marie-Elisabeth. Both girls did trampoline and duck fishing (Laureva chose a sparkly jump rope, Maëva a tiara) before we headed home for dinner.
