Sequestered in Seattle, Day 455

Wednesday marked seven years since we left Pittsburgh. I only remember because of Laureva. Rachel called the birthday girl before class, shortly after waking up, then they called back just after I sat down to work. We talked for a few minutes while Rachel put her advisory class session on mute, with captions. I think it was her last one, since she won't have classes next week.

Eric and Colin prepared fruit and cheese skewers during Eric's first class, and brought me a plate. Consequently, Eric didn't want any lunch, so there was enough leftover pizza for everyone but Rachel and me.

After my last online meeting, Rachel and I went to pick up books. I had ordered one for her and one for Lydia. Two of mine were also available: plant books. We returned home just in time to eat tacos for dinner.

Then, I had an in person meeting at nearby Soundview Terrace with my great grand manager, who is visiting from California this week. He's relatively new to Google, so I hadn't met him before. We talked for about an hour, then he went off to Ravenna to "shoot owls". He's an avid photographer.

Back home I just had time to open a couple packages that had arrived for me before we were called to watch Merlin. We finished the final three episodes, and now Rachel is free. She stayed in character, complaining to the last.

Tomorrow I have an in person meeting with my immediate manager, who also joined Google during the pandemic. Now that we're vaccinated, it's becoming a trend. He's also coming to the neighborhood.

At the park today I found many many mock oranges in bloom, that I had never known were there. They are bright white and as fragrant as advertised.
