Friday was another home day for me, getting ready for the real heat to descend. We watered the yard again this morning, and are expecting to keep it up all weekend. Nicole departed immediately after to take the car for service. On the way home she stopped at the Asian market, then went to get her blood work. Then in the afternoon, she had an appointment at the bank to remove herself from the PTA account. Her hand-off will be this weekend.
Rachel called the bookstore to check our store credit, and then rode her bike to pick up a book she was excited about, by two authors she's been reading. When she got there, she couldn't find it on their shelves, but they happened to have another copy in the back.
Colin had a make-up piano lesson in the afternoon, since we accidentally missed his lesson yesterday. Otherwise, there was a lot of screen time while I worked. After dinner, all the kids bathed, and then we watched a movie called A Monster Calls. It was too much for the boys, who opted to fall asleep, first Colin, then Eric.
I read this morning what amounts to a prediction that the delta variant will yet have a significant impact in the U.S. I haven't formed a strong opinion yet, myself.
