Sunday was even hotter than Saturday. Oof. We didn't water the whole yard this morning, just some targeted watering. I keep the watering can under the downspout from the heat pump. It was full.
Tanya sent a message that she couldn't attend the hangout, so I started one after breakfast, and wandered around while chatting with Mom, Dad, Evan, and Lucas. Rachel made a brief appearance after she woke up, but soon left to play Zelda.
I spent the rest of the morning reading on the front porch. It was hot, but not unbearable, and quieter than inside. I finished Underworld in the afternoon and started reading Hollow Kingdom. Nicole and I watched a couple episodes from the final season of Vikings.
We left the house to pick up dinner, by car. Many people were out and about in Ballard, right about the time the temperature peaked. After dinner Eric drew an activity from a jar Nicole prepared and fated us to watch the second Croods movie. It was entertaining beyond expectations, though maybe we were delirious. It included a rendition of the Partridge Family's "I Think I Love You" that Colin thought was weird.
The high today at the airport was 104, setting a new record for Seattle that will likely be broken immediately tomorrow. I'm looking forward to Tuesday.
