Wednesday, August 17th. White Salmon to Norman.
We showered, breakfasted, packed, loaded the van and then left the house with Dad and Pam at 8:30
At the airport drop off, Sylvain spotted another athlete: a Canadian rower. I don't think we've ever had such an easy checkin. There was hardly any wait and the American Airlines kiosk worked well. It asked us whether we'd like to check our carry-on bags there. Why yes, we would. There was hardly any line at security either and we got a belt which did not require taking anything out of our bags, so it went even more quickly. We were through security by 10, less than thirty minutes after being dropoped off. We found our gate, then Sylvain and the girls bought pizza lunch fare for the plane.
Later, in Dallas, we found a Passionberry near our gate and had a treat of frozen yogurt while waiting to board our flight to Oklahoma City. I had chocolate hazelnut swirled with lava swirl (pineapple, coconut and strawberry). It was a little fruity and a little chocolatey: quite tasty.
Our flight arrived early into OKC. Mom met us at baggage claim. Our bags came out pretty quickly afterwards and we were on our way to dinner at Wendy's in Norman before heading to our final destination at Mom's.

Yay for easy travel!
"We got a belt which did not require taking anything out of our bags" had me imagining you (or maybe Sylvain) sporting a utility belt with pockets for your phones, passports, and liquid containers. But I guess that's not what you meant.
That would be a funny sight.
