Postcards from Spain | Day 7: 6/30

 Day 7:

Monday, June 30

Granada & Madrid

We had an earlier morning to be able to visit the University of Granada right when they opened. It's really pretty and they have buildings all over the town which is cool. We went back to the apartment to get Lydia, Colin, and Eric then we all headed to the train station. The train wasn't too long and it was cool to see the scenery again. I listened to music, napped, and sorted through my senior pics. (They turned out really nice and she sent me all of them--504!!) Once we got to Madrid we settled into the hotel and then headed out for dinner. The first place we went to wasn't serving dinner until over an hour later so we just got drinks. Quick grocery trip then actual dinner at El Golfo de Cai for tapas. Oh my god that place was amazing. The waiter was super friendly and we didn't know what to order so he recommended a bunch of things--and even made a special vegetarian dish for Lydia that wasn't on the menu--and every single thing he brought was so tasty. My favorite was the boquerones in vinegar, they're small fish like sardines; and the tosta Ines Rosales which was a big cracker with raw tuna and avocado on top. The tuna was so so good!! We stayed there for dessert, and the cheesecake I had was also amazing! We played a few rounds of a card game called Five Crowns before bed.
