Laureva has a new flamingo friend from her Marraine that she has baptized Red Beak. This name is partly inspired by Buckbeak, the hippogriff in Harry Potter 3 which we've recently started rereading while we wait for Mom to arrive with book 4. Laureva has made Red Beak a necklace with a shrink charm and various other beads. She also "feeds" him and puts him to bed (laying him on his side) when he's tired.
