Sunny White Salmon

Oak leaves and Hawthorn berries

Really pretty day today. Mt Hood was out most of the day. I set up a sporting scope that I got from Dad and watched the mountain and this evening, the moon.

Pam and I went for a run/walk to town and back to mail a check and get some exercise and fresh air. We discovered some places we'd driven past without knowing what they were, like the local Grange Hall, which is a fresh produce pick up site. Walking around is a good thing to do. We found the Mountain Vista dental office on Main Street where I expect I'll have an appointment soon to get a tooth looked at. I have a filling that is failing.

We got the asbestos test results today and all three samples of the popcorn ceiling we sent in have asbestos. We haven't decided whether to take it out or not. I'd like to get it out of the bedrooms at least. That would be the glitter popcorn. Yuk.

I have a bunch of little plants started, and will transplant another tray of them tonight. Hoping to grow some things over winter. I raked up some leaves and added to the compost, and dug a hole down in the pasture area to see what the soil is like  it looks very good. We also talked with two of the neighbors. One conversation was about gophers.

The house warms up nicely on sunny days with the sun coming in the south windows. We need more mass to retain the heat, though. Lots of projects that could be done. Some probably will be.
