I did a 6-mile tempo run this afternoon. The heat got here yesterday, so it was 90+. I completed the run, though, at a 7:10/mi pace.
When I finished, I started walking. Soon thereafter, I spotted these birds on a sign. They reminded me of grandma and the print she used to have. They sat there while I took their picture, and they were still there as I continued on towards home.

What kind of bird are they? They look kind of like pigeons, but the coloring is off.
Google Lens says mourning doves, which seems like a good match from other photos.
