Seattle skipped quickly over spring and went straight into summer. It was warmer, but still cool, for Rachel's lacrosse game Thursday evening, and for the boys lacrosse game we attended on Friday night. Then Saturday it was eighty degrees.
Rachel played positions other than defense for the first time on Thursday. She enjoyed playing midfield more than forward. She made several good cuts to get open in front of the goal, but her teammates' few attempts to pass to her were all off the mark, so she didn't get any shots, I don't think.
Saturday morning, Lydia's frisbee game was cancelled, so her team held an informal practice and invited adults to play, too. The whole family went, and Rachel also played, while the boys hung out on the playground and the basketball court. We got a lot of exercise and a lot of sun. Sunscreen did its job, but I still got a little color on the back of my neck.
Saturday afternoon, Lydia went to watch the other frisbee team play their game, and they put her in the game because they were somewhat short on female players. She had more fun than expected, I think.
Now it's Tuesday, and I've missed many days of blogging due to lots of late nights, but I'm not going to try to make it all up at once.

Yes about the lack of proper spring, and the plants are suffering from it. We're concerned that pollination on the fruit trees may be very low, because the heat pushed them very quickly through flower on to the leafy stage.
