Friday, Maëva performed on stage in La Penne sur Huveaune with one of Sophie's adult drama classes in a play called Jean-Baptiste et ses femmes (JB's women). It was a woman (Armande, Molières's wife) and a young girl (played by Maëva), "reading" and discussing scenes from eight Molière plays in which female characters play major parts, and often ridicule the male characters.
Maëva was the first to appear on stage, and she was there, sitting at the edge, for the whole hour and a half performance.
She looked so lovely and mature in her up-do and gown. She did a great job of delivering her lines, right on cue and in a clear, distinct voice, even though Sophie had only asked her to play the part two weeks in advance.
The adult actors' names were all listed on the front cover of the program. Underneath, in a size larger font, it read "Avec la participation de Maëva Giraud." Sophie gave her special guest star status! At the end, for the first bow, Maëva and "Armande" were the last two women to come out, and each on an arm of "Don Juan," no less!

(For those who missed that part of the hangout on Sunday, we were instructed not to heap praise on Maëva.)
That's true. She has stopped wanting to talk about this because she says she's tired of all the praise.
