Monday, Nicole went to teach P.E. at John Hay, where Rachel did first grade. Eric went outside and then didn't want to walk to school, so I resorted to taking him on the bike. I came back and my cereal and yogurt was soggy, but I ate it anyway. We spent a few minutes looking for Rachel's wallet so she'd have a place to carry money for after school, but we never did find it. She took a different one.
I stayed home, which was good, because I had an appointment with someone from the solar company. He mostly looked at the outside of the house, but also needed to check the electrical panel.
Colin's shoe, which he wore for hiking yesterday, today had a big hole in the toe. His feet didn't get wet yesterday, despite the mud, so maybe it happened today. Nicole tried to get him a new pair at Fred Meyer, while shopping with Lydia for shoes for her ceremony tomorrow, but the pair they brought home were defective, and when Nicole went back, they didn't have any more in Colin's size. Fortunately, I found some that used to be Lydia's. They are slightly larger, but should work for Colin.
Rachel stayed after school to celebrate her friend's birthday. A group of six walked down to Fremont together. Nicole picked Rachel up after dinner and dropped her off at Coe, where I was playing frisbee with Lydia. Eric had come, too. We returned home after eight, when Nicole had gone to her massage appointment, and had dessert before reading time. I read a couple pages in French while waiting for Lydia, the first time in a while. The word of the day is dorénavant, an adverb that means "from now on".
We're still testing negative. Rachel and I both tested tonight. That's in spite of many possible exposure notifications from work in the last couple weeks. They seem more frequent than ever. None has been identified as a close contact, but that includes the coworker who told us she had tested positive, who should have been identified as such, so I don't know if I can trust that. But then, I also haven't gotten any notifications through the Washington Notify app, except that known one, so maybe they really aren't.
The boys combed their hair when I asked them to brush their teeth, tonight.
