We took family photos this evening. Nicole, Rachel, and I each served as photo- graphers for various shots, and we used the timer for others. It was a long and arduous process. Getting four (or sometimes just two) people to look at the camera simultaneously and smile is probably worth every penny you pay those professional photographers.
These four shots were taken after the fact, when Nicole asked for a few more of the girls together. In order to get their hands out from in front of their faces, I asked them to put them on their heads, then moved them to their ears, and finally to their laps. In order to get them to smile, I asked them if they wanted Nicole to tickle me. What do you suppose they said? Some of the visible mirth resulted from Nicole also tickling them.

It was so easy this summer! Must be the excitement of Christmas . . . Yes, I agree about the worth of professional photographers.
The results seem to have been worth it...what irresistible smiles!
