Gallivanting with Grandma: Day 2

Today, August 25th 2018
we are going to Ardèche for 6 days. We are maybe going to the river when we are in Ardèche. We are going to arrive at lunch time. Yesterday Grandma Roné gave me 3 Harry Potter. The 4 the 5 the and the 6

7 to 8:30 am: frantic packing, getting house ready to leave and house cleaning on my part. Later realized multiple things were forgotten in process. Oh well.
Depart about 8:45. A bit of traffic on freeway, but still made it to Joyeuse in 3 hours. Team split into two groups for shopping. Maëva and Sylvain went for cheese and sausage. Other three hit up bakery and green grocer.
Settled in to house. Lunch of sausages and bakery fare. Load of laundry necessary as Laureva got car sick and threw up on drive.
After nap time during which girls didn't nap, grocery store in Rosières for more supplies. On drive, much exclaiming by girls and Grandma over Pompom Trees  (chestnut trees with prickly green fruit pods)! Back home, Sylvain joined for a 1.5-hour walk up and around the château. We saw horses, ponies, a donkey, llamas, a goat and sheep. Picked and ate lots of sweet, juicy blackberries!
Couldn't turn on oven, so quiche dinner turned in to pasta. Girls played Uno with Grandma while I did dishes. After girls in bed, I beat Mom at Skip Bo.
Long day, but fun!
