Sunday Fun

A couple weeks ago, I bought a hook for hanging up hula hoops outside on the patio. I asked Jimmy if he could install it for me. Yesterday late morning, Sophie and Jimmy came over so Jimmy could put up my hook and they could go swimming with the girls. They stayed for the day and we had a nice time relaxing and hanging out. Pizza (first time we've ever had carrots on a vegetarian!), beer, ice cream, chocolate pecan cookies, swimming, Just Dance (everyone participated, including Marie-Elisabeth), card games, shadow theater, more swimming (Sylvain and Jimmy set up different diving courses for Maëva with hoops and diving squids) . . . Unfortunately, Laureva got a bit excited towards the end of the day and ran into the folding screen door, knocking it down and breaking the top rail so it is no longer held in place. Oh well, it's almost the end of the summer anyway.

Do you recommend carrots as a topping? We've used sweet potatoes quite a bit, but never carrots, that I remember.

I've had carrots on thai inspired pizza, I believe. I bet Roy has, too.

Ha. I would not have remembered that.

They were fine. Thin slices that were sauteed before being used as pizza toppings. As were the zucchini and onions. That was it as far as veggies were concerned. Unusual, but fine tasting.

If something had to break, glad it was the screen door and not Laureva.

A broken Laureva would probably be cheaper to fix . . . And young kids are so resilient. Not sure I can agree with you there.
