Destination Limoges: Day 7

Saturday, August 11th. Depart shortly before 8am. Time to go home. On the way, seafood lunch in Sète. Sylvain had a craving for oysters. Arrived Sète at 2pm, an hour and a half after planned. Mucho traffic between Toulouse and Béziers. Sète is beautiful. I had never been. Sort of a mini French Venice in parts. Unfortunately, the restaurant Sylvain had found recommended online was not up to par. Laureva's and my fish were good (loup and daurade), and Maëva's burger looked good. But the kids' meals were expensive, the beer was not too cold, Sylvain's oysters were warm and his salade de poulpes was less than copious. So if you're ever in Sète, avoid La Méditerranéene! Walking back to the car, we passed a handful of other restaurants that looked much better.
The girls had ice cream at the restaurant. On the way back to the car, we stopped for Sylvain and I to have ice cream. Chocolate and vanilla for him. Violet for me. Tasty!
Traffic flowed much better leaving Sète for home about 4pm. We had to make a short detour to avoid a jam around Aix, but we still made it home about six-thirty, just shy of 11 hours after we'd started. Long day. But worth it. We had a great time in Limoges and all enjoyed spending 5 quality days with Caroline, Vincent, Gabrielle and Louis, and discovering new people and places.
