Friday, August 31st. Sylvain off to inservice day. Hula Hippos after breakfast. Girls showed Grandma how to Just Dance. 9am tried call to university HR. No answer. Sent emails about employment situation to university, Rectorat and Middle School. Headed out to Zoa Parc zoo in Bandol.
Highlights: active burrowing armadillo, 4 visible caïmans, feeding donkey, active iguana, baby fennecs, swinging gibbon. Had snack bar burgers for lunch followed by raspberry sun freezes. Message from university that they're working on it. Grandma let girls pick out gift shop stuffies: poodle for Laureva, lion for Maëva.
Back home about three thirty. Started putting our photos in shared Google album. Mom and girls went swimming. Sliding in backwards was big this afternoon. Harry Potter 3. New to Grandma. Got email from Middle School with my schedule. Fingers crossed I don't need it. Ordered pizza. On way to pick up, dropped off Sanilhac keys and blackberry pie to Christian and Maryelle. Dinner of pizza and pie! Pie turned out great. Compact easy to cut texture. Not runny at all. Great with vanilla ice cream! Laureva asked Grandma to read her bedtime story outside on the patio (like Grandma had wanted to do yesterday). Good thing story not too long. Wind picking up chased us back inside. Before bed, saw new email from university with new attached form to fill out ASAP (aka before Monday morning at this point). Perhaps there's hope.
