Day two at Glacier, Wednesday, July 18, we drove north from St. Mary to the Many Glacier entrance. We parked at the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn to hike the trail to Bullhead Lake.
There are three lakes along the trail. The first is Fishercap Lake, just a few hundred yards from the trailhead. Part of our group walked right past the side trail to the lake, but Nicole convinced them to turn around and stick to the plan.
Good thing, because when we got to the lake we saw two moose, a mother and calf, at the far end of the lake.
We stayed for a while, walking down the lake a little closer, but eventually took the children away up the trail so other park goers could try to photograph the moose in peace.
Next stop, Redrock Lake.
