Washington Reopen, Day 21

Wednesday began with bread baking and soccer drop off. Then the rest of us piled into the Pathfinder and went for a walk at Discovery Park. We didn't have time for a long trail, so we did the usual one, and found lots of blackberries to eat, plus a handful of red huckleberries.

We returned home just in time to pick up Lydia and Colin, but we decided to walk to get them, so we were a little late. Rachel made a stop at the bookstore nearby, then we all walked to Trader Joe's. Nicole decided not to go there, and we walked back to Ken's instead.

We had lunch and then spent the rest of the day at home. Rachel and I made fettuccine for dinner. We had some trouble with the pasta dough sticking, both to the counter and to the cutter, but it turned out fine in the end. I think the dough needed to be just a bit drier.

After dinner we played Codenames and ate ice cream bars. Dad and Pam joined Lydia and Eric on a team. We all had fun. We stayed up way past East Coast bedtime.
