Sunday, December 26th.
The girls didn't get up until about 7:30. Maeva had fallen asleep late last night. She kept getting up to go to the bathroom, complaining of nausea. I think it was mostly in her head, though I can't be certain. It may have been too many sweets together with too much excitement.
After breakfast, the girls got started on their homework. I asked them to do one thing each. Laureva was working on Roman numerals and a history lesson. Maeva read from an assigned book.
At 10am, Sophie and Jimmy came over for brunch in the veranda. We had the sliding glass doors wide open for ventilation. Plus, it was nice and sunny so we could also be outside. The girls spent a lot of time doing card tricks on Marie-Elisabeth's patio.
At 2:30pm, we headed down to Maryelle's. The Girauds all made appearances at some point, except for Matys, who was picking up his girlfriend Camille, and Enzo's girlfriend Anna. Estelle, Vincent and Clement all stopped by. They are now cleared after recovering from Covid (Estelle & Vincent) or finishing their contact case quarantine (Clement). I was also happy to hear that Clement has finally decided to get vaccinated. The girls made the rounds of everyone with their card tricks. We stayed until about 6:45, when everyone finally got too cold to stay outside with us. We left so they could go into the warm house and close the door. We came back home for a short hangout and enjoyed seeing the snow in Seattle.
Over dinner, Maeva started complaining about her tummy again. I probably let her eat too much chocolate today. I told her she'd have to go cold turkey on the chocolate tomorrow. I also promised to get her some probiotics at the pharmacy tomorrow. That seemed to reassure her and she fell right asleep after story time.
In Covid news, the incidence rate has topped 1,000 in the BDR. Another government Covid crisis meeting is scheduled for tomorrow. It's being rumored that they may extend Christmas Break for one week. We'll see what they ultimately decide. I imagine there'll be some kind of announcement tomorrow evening.

Happy to hear Clement has come around.
Three left to go: Enzo and Anna, and Estelle's Vincent.
