We had planned to go to Rob and Erin's on Saturday for presents and then have them over for Christmas dinner after Anna's nap. Pam worked hard and finished getting the last of the kitchen stuff put away and cleaned off the counters.
On Friday Rob messaged that Anna wasn't feeling well and had a little fever. Saturday morning he reported that Anna had Erin "pinned to the rocking chair," and we decided to postpone the Christmas activities to Sunday.
Later on, Erin called Pam to report that Anna seemed to have a viral kid's disease called hand-foot-mouth. At least the symptoms show up mainly in children. Adults can pass the virus along, but usually don't have symptoms.
So we decided to push Anna's Christmas and dinner off to next weekend. I put the roast in the freezer - I think everything else will keep OK.
This afternoon we're going to work on our inside house projects. Temp outside is around 30, and will be dropping into the low 20s overnight, so it's time for inside work. Pam will work on the dining room wall and I'll put plastic up in the back bedroom getting ready for the popcorn ceiling removal project.

That's a highly contagious virus, if I remember correctly, that often goes around daycares and preschools. We've known of kids over here catching it, though neither of our girls have had it.
Good thing you have so much to keep you busy while you wait!
