Wednesday, February 24th.
At 8:30, I headed down the hill to meet Fred and Harikana for a walk. I left the girls playing Animal Crossing. They were still at it when I got home at 10. I had them turn it off when I got out of the shower around 10:30. They were excited about finally having enough money to have a second room built on their house which will apparently be ready tomorrow.
Fred, who is the PTA president, told me the saga of her exchanges with a first grade mom who says she is a microbiologist and who claims that mask-wearing is nefarious to children. She had one of her kids' masks analyzed and wants Fred to use our mailing list to forward the findings to all the school's families. We won't, of course, but were discussing how a response should best be worded.
Before lunch, the girls played a game of Harry Potter Clue and I sat down to write a past time review sheet for my afternoon Masters students.
This afternoon, I taught from 1 to 4. After reading time, the girls went outside to play tennis with Sylvain for an hour. When I was done teaching, I helped Maëva on her Andy Warhol report. Then at 6pm, she and Neelane did a video call to discuss their presentation. Meanwhile, I prepared an answer key for last week's mock translation exam so I can begin grading tomorrow. Afterwards, the girls went next door to spend the night. After getting dinner ready and mixing up a batch of bread dough, I had about thirty minutes to continue reading Land of Stories.

The mask was covered in all sorts of frightening microbes? Did she also have her child's face analyzed?
I know. That's what I reminded Fred of. What kind of self-respecting microbiologist is she?!
