Tuesday we managed two excursions, before and after work. Nicole and I went to Queen Anne Bowl for the morning run. Eric wanted to come along, but he wanted to eat his cereal more. He and Rachel had some conflict while we were away, though. We were already planning to get them all out of the house next time.
After work, everyone but Rachel made a trek to the library. Rachel was still in her piano lesson, and we couldn't wait since the library closes at six. I had a book to pick up. The Chilean fire trees on the corner near the library are starting to bloom. On the way back we picked up dinner from Malena's.
The rest of the day was pretty ordinary. I went outside after lunch for a few minutes and looked at the yard. The thimbleberry has leafed out quickly, the wild ginger is looking lush, and the tall camas is sending up flower stalks. The lilacs are blooming now. The dogwood is looking very healthy after last summer's heavy pruning, and is preparing its flowers as well.
After dinner we had some free time before watching two episodes of Merlin, and we're still upstairs ahead of schedule, enjoying reading time before bed.
