This morning I put Anwyl on Amtrak to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he will visit his friend Clark in for hikes in the nearby mountains. He was the one who claimed not to be eager to be vaccinated and that he was perfectly fine staying at home...and yet, within a week of the second shots, somehow this trip emerged! It's all good, I am not cleared for long hikes yet so I am happy to stay home and take care of Hootsie plus we have school for two+ more weeks. I have pea plants about 2" high enjoying what may be our last rain till the Fall today. I didn't have enough stakes and am feeling guilty about the ones that haven't been able to find a support -- their little tendrils are so delicate but determined to hold on when they do make the right contact. I loved the outcome of the PAELP meeting and am looking forward to the next one -- I will make an extra effort to get good sleep the night before.
So...I just experimented with "trying on" sunglasses online, looking forward to 2022 of course. What do you think? Any winners :)

Are you trying to block out the entire sun?
They can't possibly be THAT big, can they?
I think I screwed up "positioning my face in the rectangle," should have been further back from the camera. But I thought it was funny. And was also impressed that it did kind of look like an effective way to see what they would look like on if you got the positioning right.
I think the pair that makes me look the most like a praying mantis is #1. Look out, spouse!
I didn't realize praying mantis was the target! Glad you're both feeling more relaxed and freer to do fun things.
Maybe, trying on sunglasses in person should be a future activity?!?
