Sequestered in Seattle, Day 422

Friday morning, Nicole had to go do her exercise alone, because I was compelled to help Eric with a shower. I went outside to look at the yard, but it didn't make sense to water, with rain coming. Another camas is flowering.

I baked another loaf of bread, as I said, so we'd be well supplied for tomorrow's picnic. We're planning to leave at eight. Rachel is disappointed that she'll be missing reading time with France yet again.

In the afternoon I managed to get an order through at the bookstore. Their website hadn't been working the last couple days. The books for the kids weren't immediately available, but mine was, so around 4:30 I recruited Eric to ride along and went to pick it up. It had stopped raining, at least for a time. We went by Kerry Park on the detour home, and the view of the city and the sound was nice, but no volcanoes presented themselves.

After dinner, we had game night with Paola and Abhinav, then managed to squeeze in one Merlin episode before bedtime. The boys still had some energy, so I lulled them to sleep with the words of Robert Louis Stevenson. It works every time, more or less.
