Wednesday began with a walk. Nicole, Rachel, and I went first to Ken's, then to the school. While Nicole was grocery shopping, Rachel and I went across the street to look at the prickly pears. I and Google Lens both think they're Opuntia ficus-indica. They have new buds.
At the school Nicole rang the bell, and then I remembered it was Wednesday, and only the principal had been there the last time we'd come on a Wednesday. No one answered, and Nicole struggled to turn off the bell. It eventually went off on its own.
Eric made yogurt parfaits with blueberries and strawberries during his first class. We all got a snack. It was tastier than the porridge I had for breakfast. Rachel doesn't want to eat it, but I thought it was pretty good. Rehydrated blueberries are better than they sound.
Rachel finished an "old" book last night, so before lunch I took her to the bookstore to pick up one she had her eye on. She had finished it by the end of the day. I guess she liked it.
After work, which ended with a game hour, I went outside to find Nicole, Rachel, and Eric playing a game in the alley with a giant blow-up beach ball and tennis rackets. I had to join them.
Dinner was a challenge, because Eric didn't want to eat the lasagna, but we eventually got it all in. We watched two episodes of Merlin on the assumption that Nicole won't want to run tomorrow. She's feeling better today, but not one hundred percent yet. Lydia and Eric helped me mix a loaf of bread. I finished the first chapter reading to Colin and Eric, who both once again succumbed to sleep in the process.
